Monster Energy Cup 2014 FULL Event Coverage

MONSTER ENERGY CUP

2014

August 12, 2014

2014 Sam Boyd Stadium Monster Energy Cup

  -FULL LENGTH EVENT COVERAGE-

What happened to James "Bubba" Stewert? Why would he not be cleared to race the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas's Sam Boyd Stadium? If these or similar questions are running through your head as you watch the full length version of 2014's Monster Energy Cup then you will want to read what Transworld Motocross had say about the ordeal.
           writes:

"Let’s knock out one of the biggest topics first: No, James Stewart did not race. The Yoshimura Suzuki rider is still dealing with the suspension issued by the FIM for a failed drug test that occurred at the 2014 Seattle SX, the final outcome of which is set to be decided in a matter of days. It was announced late last week that WADA (the World Anti-Doping Agency) accepted the Therapeutic Use Exemption filled out by Stewart after the test occurred, but this did not clear him to defend his victory from the 2013 Monster Energy Cup. Stewart and a lawyer will fly to Switzerland soon to meet with the FIM in a final hearing on the matter, but everyone is still treading lightly on the situation. Should the suspension be lifted away, Stewart will be cleared to race throughout the 2015 season. Should a punishment come down, likely a two-year ban, James will retire from professional racing and younger brother Malcolm will fill the vacant spot at Yoshimura Suzuki. We will keep tabs on the matter as we learn more."
